Itinerary" class="anchor"> Itinerary

 

1st Day - Manaus

Transfer from Manaus Airport to Port of Manaus. Embark at the cruise. Departure down Rio Negro. Cruise activities with welcome cocktail offered by the Captain and presentation of equipment on board and safety procedures in Salao Lua. Welcome dinner in the Kuarup restaurant. Overnight.

 

2nd Day - Igarapes

Breakfast at the cruise terrace or at Kuarup Restaurant. At 08h00 and at your choice, you’ll go on a hiking on trails in the region of Igarapes of Jaraqui or take a boat tour through Igarapes of Jaraqui. Igarapes are near water courses which are located in the closed forest where several species of the Amazon fauna and flora can be observed. Soon after you will attend a lecture about the Amazon in which the history and characteristics of the forest will be approached. Lunch at Kuarup Restaurant or at the cruise terrace. In the afternoon, you’ll attend a lecture about the amazona river dolphins, pink dolphins that inhabit the Amazonian rivers and one of the most famous members of Brazilian folklore. After the lecture you’ll go on a boat tour among the islands of Tres Bocas region, In the Anavilhanas Archipelago, one of the largest river archipelagos in the world with about 400 islands. Dinner served at Kuarap Restaurant. Overnight.

 

3rd Day - Cuieiras River - Ariau River

Breakfast at the cruise terrace or at Kuarup Restaurant. At 08h00 you’ll visit the local population of Cuieiras River region where you’ll can see their local customs and purchase handicrafts. Soon after, you’ll attend a lecture about fishes from the Amazon. Lunch at Kuarup Restaurant or at the cruise terrace. At your choice, in the afternoon you will visit the home of Caboclo, local population of the Ariau River region, or fish for piranhas in the Ariau River region. Dinner at Kuarup Restaurant. At 21h30 you’ll go on an alligator spotting in Ariau River. Overnight.

 

4th Day - Ariau River

Breakfast at the cruise terrace. At 05h45 you’ll take a boat tour around the Ariau River to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Amazon at sunrise. Still in the morning you will swim with pink dolphins on a river beach. Soon after you will attend a lecture about the birds of the Amazon. Lunch at Kuarup Restaurant or at the cruise terrace. At 14h30 You will visit the Museu do Seringueiro where you can see historical equipment and furniture from the era of the Rubber Boom (late 19th and early 20th century) when the rubber became one of the most important Brazilian products in exports. Galla dinner at 19h45 in Kuarup Restaurant. Soon after, at 21h30, folklore show with diverse artistic manifestations of the amazonense culture.


5th Day - Meeting of The Waters - Manaus

Breakfast at the cruise terrace. After breakfast, you’ll can see the Meeting of the Waters can be seen, when the inky black flow of the Negro River meets the brown waters of the Solimoes River. Arrival at Port of Manaus. Private transfer from Port of Manaus to Manaus Airport. End of program.

Cancellation Policies 

The Cancellation Policies listed below apply to all reservations unless the reservation booked has specific rates or fees listed in the Invoice.

Cancellation Made Within:

  • 19 Days Prior to Departure Date - Non-refundable
  • 20-49 Days Prior to Departure Date - 75% of payment is refunded
  • 50 or More Days Prior to Departure Date - 90% of payment is refunded

 

Paramedical Service:

Paramedical service is free for the first consultation and only covers first aid services of a ward. The other medical services will be charged according to the existing price list at the reception of the ship. The use of any medications will be the sole responsibility of the passenger.


Cabin change:

The passenger, once embarked, can not request a change of cabin. The command of the vessel may request the client to change their respective cabin in cases of risk to their physical well-being or in accordance with the regulations in force for the vessel.

 

Luggage limit:

2 bags per person


Gratuities:

Tips on board are not included in the package. Passengers may deliver the tips in an enclosed envelope to the captain, who, according to Iberostar tradition, will distribute the value among all crew members. We recommend a minimum of US$13,00  per person per day.

 
Passenger Responsibility:

The passenger is responsible for keeping his or her documentation up to date in accordance with current Brazilian legislation. Iberostar Grand Amazon may refuse boarding of the passenger who does not have the required legal documentation, without obligation to refund any amount paid by the customer or pay any other types of damages. Any acts, sporting practices or other behaviors that involve a serious risk, including the consumption of excess food and drink, or that contravene medical indications given or that are contraindicated for the health of the passenger, are the sole responsibility of the passenger.

Children:

Children under 8 years are not allowed on the cruise.

 

 

The Iberostar Grand Amazon may postpone its departure within 24 hours due to weather, accident, technical or force majeure. After this period, and if the circumstances that have caused the delay persist, Iberostar Grand Amazon may cancel the cruise and reimburse the amount paid, without any other obligation of compensation to passengers. The Iberostar Grand Amazon reserves the right to change its period and/or itinerary for climatic reasons or due to special departures of Carnival, Parintins Festival, Christmas, New Year's Eve or exclusive charters. Iberostar Grand Amazon reserves the right to prevent Embark or require the disembarkation of passengers that may disturb the welfare of other passengers, according to the regulations of the vessel.
